Planetary dignity and relationships

Strength is contextual

↗Planetary dignity and relationships
01

Dignity describes a planet's operating environment. Own sign, exaltation and friendly signs can support expression, while debilitation or hostile environments may complicate it.

02

No dignity label should be read alone. Functional lordship, house placement and the houses connected by the planet can substantially alter the result.

03

Conjunction blends planetary agendas within the same region of the chart. Aspects create influence across houses, and classical aspect rules differ by planet.

04

Combustion concerns closeness to the Sun, while retrogression concerns apparent motion. These conditions modify a planet; they do not erase its house ownership or all of its significations.

05

The dispositor, the planet ruling the occupied sign, is another important link. Its condition can support or constrain how the placed planet delivers results.

06

A strong planet is not automatically favourable in every matter, and a weak planet is not automatically disastrous. Strength and functional role answer different questions.

07

A better assessment asks whether several independent factors agree: dignity, house, lordship, aspects, dispositors, Vargas, strength measures where used and Dasha relevance.
