Divisional charts
D1 and the Vargas
D1 or Rashi is the foundation. A Varga is a mathematical subdivision of the natal zodiac used to inspect a narrower domain or subtler level of planetary condition.
A divisional chart is not a second independent horoscope. It should refine the promise visible in D1 rather than manufacture a promise absent from the natal foundation.
D9 Navamsa is widely used to refine planetary strength, dharma and partnership themes. D10 Dashamsa focuses professional activity and public contribution.
Other Vargas have specific traditional scopes. They should be selected because the question requires them, not accumulated merely because software can generate them.
Compare the same planet across D1 and the relevant Varga. Repetition, dignity changes, lordship and house context can deepen the interpretation.
Accuracy becomes increasingly important in finer Vargas. A small birth-time shift can change divisional Lagna or planetary placements even when the D1 chart appears stable.
Before relying heavily on a Varga, confirm birth-time quality and keep the D1 promise as the anchor.
